About The Position

California Rehab Institute, a 138-bed facility, offers patients a higher degree of excellence in medical rehabilitation. Each patient has their own room and receives customized treatment plans based on their individual medical and therapy needs as they recover from conditions such as Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Amputation, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedic Conditions, and Multiple Traumas. The Intern Pharmacist works under direct supervision, developing skills in drug distribution and clinical services. They assist pharmacists in providing medications to patients and perform routine duties in a hospital pharmacy.

Requirements

• Registered as an Intern Pharmacist with the California State Board of Pharmacy
• Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
• Subject to background and reference check
• Must be able to use the following equipment: calculator, computer printer, PC, medication carts, automated dispensing machines, etc.
• Proficiency in the operations of specialized equipment is necessary for assignment to specialized areas
• Must be able to rotate shifts, alternate weekends, and rotate throughout any areas requiring the assistance of a pharmacy intern without impeding on school hours.

Nice To Haves

• BLS certification preferred
