About The Position

CVS Health’s Graduate Pharmacy Intern applies pharmacy school learning in a retail pharmacy setting while preparing for a Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader, the intern completes a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation to build knowledge of store, district, and regional operations. Training and hands-on experience cover patient safety and error prevention, quality assurance, drug utilization review, professional standards, corresponding responsibility, and red-flag detection. The intern supports pharmacy operations and helps ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. The role follows pharmacy workflows, company procedures, best practices, and applicable laws and professional standards. As readiness increases, the intern takes on greater accountability in pharmacy operations, supports patient care services, and contributes to an inclusive, safe, and engaged team. The position requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and, as business needs require, to travel to other stores in the market. The posting describes the position as part-time.
