About The Position

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you work as part of the pharmacy team to support the company’s purpose, model its values, and provide attentive care to patients. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you help ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment and contribute to patient safety, professional pharmacy practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification. You also support the adoption and management of patient care programs and, once state regulations are met, are expected to strive to provide patient immunizations.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and the required timeframe.
• Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items.
• Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing, or other work primarily using the fingers.
• Ability to reach overhead and extend hands and arms in multiple directions to place, move, or lift items.
• Ability to adjust machines to exact positions.
• Ability to stoop and bend at the waist to move items between low and high positions.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and inspecting small parts.
• Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers.
• Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.; exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently, and a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
