About The Position

As a third-year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you work as part of the pharmacy team to support the company’s purpose and values and provide genuine care to patients. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you help maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment and support patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification. A key part of the role is supporting the adoption and management of patient care programs. The position also involves fostering collaboration and a caring, energetic, and enthusiastic team culture. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

• Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Complete required training within state guidelines and the required timeframe.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, scan, and bag items; occasional lifting or exertion of up to 20 pounds is required.
• Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing, or other tasks requiring primarily finger use.
• Ability to reach overhead and extend hands and arms in multiple directions to place, move, or lift items.
• Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions.
• Ability to stoop and bend at the waist to move items between low and high positions, using the lower extremities and back muscles.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts.
• Ability to communicate information and instructions orally to colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Support patient safety and professional pharmacy practice under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
