CVS Health•Summerville, SC
•$20 - $24

About The Position

CVS Health’s 3rd year Pharmacy Interns apply pharmacy-school learning in real-world practice as they prepare for a Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor, interns complete a comprehensive training roadmap that includes Key Learning Experiences, activities, and time with district leaders, while gaining an overview of store, district, and regional operations. They assist pharmacy teams with smooth operations and prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, while providing caring service to patients. Interns learn to follow Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, and effective communication, and to contribute to a safe and inclusive culture. As their tenure increases, interns take on greater responsibility for pharmacy operations. Under appropriate supervision and within applicable laws and regulations, they may assist with patient counseling and medical questions, take telephonic prescriptions, clarify prescriptions with prescribers, perform inventory activities, and provide additional health care services. Where permissible and after required training and certification, interns may support vaccine preparation and administration. This is a part-time position with a typical pay range of $20.00–$23.75.
