About The Position

CVS Health Graduate Pharmacy Interns support retail pharmacy teams while applying pharmacy school learning in real-world practice and preparing for a Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader, interns complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, covering store, district, and regional operations, patient safety and error prevention, quality assurance drug utilization review, and professional standards such as corresponding responsibility and red flag detection. They help pharmacy operations run smoothly and ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Interns follow standard operating procedures and best practices, communicate effectively, and help foster a safe, inclusive culture. As tenure and readiness increase, they take on greater accountability for supporting pharmacy management, oversight, and operations. Where permitted, interns may also support immunizations after meeting required licensure, training, and certification requirements. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within designated timeframes. This is described as a part-time position. The typical pay range is $23.75–$42.00.
