CVS Health Graduate Pharmacy Interns apply their pharmacy school learning in real-world practice while preparing for a Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader, interns complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation to develop knowledge of store, district, and regional operations. Training and hands-on work address patient safety and error prevention, quality assurance and drug utilization review, and pharmacy professional standards such as corresponding responsibility and red-flag detection. Interns support pharmacy operations so prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and patients receive caring service. They follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture. As their tenure and readiness grow, they take on greater accountability for pharmacy management, oversight, and operations. Duties may include patient counseling under pharmacist supervision, taking and clarifying prescriptions where permitted by state law, inventory activities, and delivering additional health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing when legally allowed and properly trained. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and completion of required training on schedule. It involves extended periods upright, handling and moving items, repetitive hand and finger movements, close visual work, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. The posting lists this as a part-time position. The typical pay range is $23.75–$42.00 per hour. Benefits vary according to hours worked and eligibility.
