About The Position

Under the direction of a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Interns receive practical training toward becoming a competent Pharmacist to ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders. A caregiver in this role will work flexible shifts between 7:30am and 6:00pm, with the ability to choose preferred days and consistent shift schedules. Shifts require a minimum of 4 hours, though 6–8 hour shifts are preferred. This role requires a minimum commitment of one shift per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts as desired. Caregivers may provide float coverage for call-offs at Tradition as needed. There are no weekend or holiday requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Pre-Pharmacy Associate's Degree
• Active Florida Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT-FL)

Responsibilities

• Refill, load, and maintain the inventory of automated medications.
• Admixes intravenous medications.
• Purchase and receive medications.
• Unit doses medications.
• Charge and credit medications when necessary.
• Perform unit inspections.
• Comply with daily task requirements as outlined by the shift.
• Assist the pharmacists with assigned clinical review of patient's medical records.
• Other duties as assigned.
