About The Position

The Pharmacy Informatics Specialist coordinates process design, redesign, system build, system testing, and implementation of various medication information technologies, including interfaces and related information technology projects. This role involves working on complex projects both as a member of a team and independently. The specialist will coordinate workflow analyses and the development of system designs to meet user requirements, as well as develop and update user training tools and policies/procedures to support technologies. Collaboration with other disciplines within Tower Health System is essential. Additionally, the role focuses on developing ongoing automated decision support tools related to the safe and effective use of medications, the documentation of medication transactions, and proper billing for medications. The Pharmacy Informatics Specialist will uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of Tower Health.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Coordinates process design, redesign, system build, system testing, and implementation of various medication information technologies, including interfaces and related information technology projects.
