About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Pharmacy Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy. The role supports customer health and wellness, patient well-being, clinical care, and the safe, compliant operation of the pharmacy. The intern assists with prescription and over-the-counter orders, patient care, inventory, and pharmacy operations while following company policies and applicable legal requirements.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
• Have the ability to build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be able to address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
