About The Position

Right Dose Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, is seeking a Pharmacy Data Technician to enter and process prescriptions in the pharmacy operating system with speed and accuracy. The role communicates with customers by telephone, responds courteously to their needs, and supports timely prescription processing and dispensing. The position is hybrid, with work from home available after the initial training period. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with varying shifts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., plus every third weekend: Saturday 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m.–4 p.m. The technician processes new, refill, and cycle prescriptions; triages incoming fax prescriptions; follows up with doctors’ offices; verifies dosage; maintains accurate computer notes and cycle-fill records; and learns pharmacy systems and cycle processes to meet delivery deadlines. As needed, the role may also assist with filing orders, packaging medications, inventory, profiling orders for medical records, and filling processed prescriptions for dispensing. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a pharmacy technician license, certification, or registration as required by state requirements. National certification through PTCB is preferred. The role requires at least two years of related experience, though an advanced degree may substitute for experience, along with strong computer skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, independence, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, may be required.
