The Pharmacy Associate Director assists the Pharmacy Director in providing administrative and managerial leadership for the planning, monitoring, and oversight of pharmacy operations, including the implementation and assessment of pharmacy operational and administrative services. This role is responsible for the direct implementation and evaluation of pharmacy operations and services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care and services to El Rio patients. In the absence of the Pharmacy Director, this position assumes responsibility for pharmacy operations. The Pharmacy Associate Director ensures that the pharmacy department provides consistent and optimal pharmaceutical patient care and services that comply with all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements. This role is accountable for the direct managerial oversight and implementation of services and activities, assuring effective communications, human resource management, operations workflow coordination, as well as training and staff development. As a licensed Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Associate Director is responsible for fulfilling all of the essential functions, responsibilities, and authority of a Pharmacist. The primary goal of the El Rio Health Pharmacy Associate Director (Outpatient Services) is to support El Rio’s Mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care that is affordable and accessible to all who may have healthcare needs, by successfully performing the primary essential functions.
