About The Position

The Pharmacy Analyst provides analysis of pharmacy processes, including analyzing and documenting processes, developing and documenting technical requirements, and participation in pharmacy system planning. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems and procedures to assure continuous quality assurance and regulatory compliance for the department of pharmacy. The analyst will also assist in builds and updates of Pharmacy applications, consult with users to identify and document business requirements, and review operational procedures to recommend improvements. The position involves managing projects, preparing project scopes and plans, and prioritizing workload to meet department goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare or related field required
  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate AND 4 years of related experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree requirement
  • Functional, operational, and technical requirements of assigned areas.
  • Concepts, practices, and procedures for analyzing pharmacy business.
  • Concepts of problem, change, project, and workflow management.
  • Knowledge of computer applications used by CMC.
  • Awareness of activities of the department, division or function supported, and where it fits within the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan and lead projects, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Ability to develop functional requirements, process flows, and systems designs to solve business issues.
  • Prepare reports, summaries, surveys, and written recommendations using appropriate formats and styles.
  • Speak clearly and present factual information to customers, clients, and other associates.
  • Research and answer questions.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of experience in pharmacy operations and/or analytical/technical experience with business systems preferred
  • Experience participating on a project team and setting up project plan preferred
  • RXTECH - State of California Pharmacy Technician License preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and maintains systems and procedures to assure continuous quality assurance and regulatory compliance for the department of pharmacy.
  • Assists in builds and updates the Pharmacy applications per department specifications.
  • Consults with users to identify, analyze, refine, and document business requirements.
  • Reviews operational procedures and methods, identifies best practices, and recommends improvements.
  • Responds to requests and manages basic, short to long-term term projects.
  • Prepares project scope and plans. Develops, maintains, and manages project schedules.
  • Produces project reports, documentation, and status updates.
  • Prioritizes workload to ensure deadlines and constancy of projects are within department goals.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
