About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Midtown Atlanta is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Pharmacists play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care. The Pharmacist supports the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment and needs working knowledge of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture. The position is located in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is $55.00 to $75.00 per hour.

Requirements

Successfully complete all educational requirements mandated for state licensure.
Hold current state licensure.
Hold BLS certification if required by the state.

Nice To Haves

PharmD, or BS Pharm plus an advanced degree, or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.

Responsibilities

Maintain working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
Provide clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy.
Inform and instruct patients correctly about drugs to be used after discharge.
Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
