About The Position

PharmaPoint is seeking a Part-Time/PRN Pharmacist for an independent pharmacy in Greenville, North Carolina. The pharmacist prepares and dispenses medications, monitors drug therapies, provides medication information and patient counseling, and oversees pharmacy operations and support personnel. The role requires an active North Carolina pharmacist license with no previous violations, as well as prior supervisory and retail experience. The position is in person. Requirements

• Prior supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

• Retail pharmacy experience; one year is preferred.
• North Carolina Pharmacist permit is listed as preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Monitor drug therapies and advise on interventions.
• Organize and direct technicians’ workflow; verify pharmaceutical preparation and labeling, order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Answer questions and requests from health care professionals and counsel patients on drug therapies.
• Comply with state and federal drug laws and regulations, maintain controlled-substance records and current registration, remove outdated or damaged drugs from inventory, supervise support personnel, and advise management on needed actions related to legislation.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by completing related work as needed.
• Provide accurate and timely information to medical professionals and patients and help teams complete assigned work on time.
