About The Position

PharmaPoint is seeking an exceptional part-time/PRN Pharmacist for an independent pharmacy in Greenville, North Carolina. The pharmacist prepares and dispenses medications, oversees pharmacy operations and support personnel, provides medication information and patient counseling, and ensures compliance with applicable state and federal drug laws. This is an in-person position. The posting identifies the job types as contract and part-time.

Requirements

• Current and active North Carolina Pharmacist license with no previous violations.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• A team-oriented approach and attention to customers, providing medical professionals and patients with accurate and timely information.
• Ability to work in teams and provide leadership to complete assigned work on time.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with a diverse customer group.
• Strong problem-analysis and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of retail pharmacy experience (preferred).
• North Carolina Pharmacist permit (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Monitor drug therapies and advise on interventions.
• Organize and direct technicians’ workflow; verify pharmaceutical preparation and labeling, order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Answer medication-related questions from health care professionals and counsel patients on drug therapies.
• Comply with state and federal drug laws and regulations, including maintaining controlled-substance records, removing outdated or damaged drugs, supervising support personnel, maintaining current registration, studying legislation, anticipating legislative changes, and advising management on needed actions.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to the team by completing related duties as needed.
