About The Position

The incumbent provides pharmaceutical care for patients of Shands Hospital and the University of Florida Clinics. The role rotates between the Shands Outpatient and Medical Plaza Pharmacies and requires exercising professional judgment when evaluating medication orders written for ambulatory patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory care setting.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to work effectively in a clinical environment.
• Licensed Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida.

Nice To Haves

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
• Knowledge or experience in a specialized clinical practice area.

Responsibilities
