Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited pharmacy program
  • None - see preferred experience
  • Pharmacy license in state of practice

  • One year of clinical pharmacy experience

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all medication storage, preparation, and distribution in the pharmacy.
  • Ensuring the pharmacy provides optimal service levels, meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements, and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of practice.
  • Supervising prescription processing activities to ensure quality and standard of practice are maintained.
  • Managing transactions within the pharmacy to maintain accurate control of pharmaceutical materials and ensure adherence with applicable state and federal laws and rules.
  • Following all safety and USP guidelines for the preparation of medications.
  • Participating regularly in supply chain and vendor meetings and sharing issues, observations, and recommendations.
  • Managing inbound/outbound pharmacy prescription transfers with incoming/outgoing clients.
  • Following all policies and procedures related to controlled substance dispensing.
  • Following agency documentation policies for the pharmacy.
  • Adhering to ethical and legal standards set by licensing boards and state regulations.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development activities to meet licensure, certification, and/or other agency requirements.
