Pharmacist - HUB Centralized Services - Part-Time
About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is seeking talented individuals to join their HUB Centralized Services team as a HUB Centralized Services Pharmacist. This role operates within a closed-door central fill pharmacy. Responsibilities include clinical review of prescriptions (drug utilization review, order entry accuracy checks), and collaborating with pharmacy technicians while triaging and assisting with patient phone calls. This position is located at the Central Fill location for Nebraska Medicine, approximately at 114th and Dodge in Omaha, NE. The role is part-time, benefits-eligible (0.5 FTE), with varied working hours typically consisting of 8.5-hour shifts Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Requirements
- Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient hospital pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy experience.
- American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency.
- Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy applications.
- Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense, and distribute medication.
- Provide clinical monitoring and drug information to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing and maintenance of records.
- Provide direction and assist with the organization of daily activities.
- Perform clinical review of prescriptions, including drug utilization review and order entry accuracy checks.
- Work alongside pharmacy technicians while triaging and assisting patient phone calls.
