About The Position

Responsible for filling and dispensing medication orders and ensuring the proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy. Maintains departmental standards and translates policies and procedures into daily pharmacy operations. Serves as an information resource for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on medication therapy and drug-related information and literature. Plans and organizes work schedules for supportive personnel and pharmacists as required. Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and Pharmacy Director, optimizes patient medication therapy by providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services and collaborating with the healthcare team. Assignments may include specialty areas such as infectious disease, oncology, cardiovascular care, medication safety, and pharmacoeconomics.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Current Florida pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in Florida.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree or enrollment in an advanced degree program.
• At least 1 year of experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital setting.
