About The Position
Regency Hospital - Florence is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Pharmacist plays a central role in delivering compassionate care and provides clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment. The position requires working knowledge of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
Requirements
- Successfully complete all educational requirements mandated for state licensure.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Hold BLS certification if required by the state.
Nice To Haves
- PharmD, or BS Pharm plus an advanced degree, or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency.
Responsibilities
- Maintain working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
- Provide clinical support for the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy.
- Correctly inform and instruct patients about medications to use after discharge.
- Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
- Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
- Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
