About The Position

Reviews drug orders and obtains clarification as needed. Regularly consults with medical and nursing staff and others in order to provide a high quality of pharmacy service to the Health System's patients. Oversees and reviews the work of technical support personnel. Assists in the safe and efficient functioning of the Pharmacy. Full-time Pharmacists must provide on-call telephone coverage, on a rotating schedule, for after-hours consultation and requests. Cover occasional evenings (no overnights) and weekends as necessary.

Requirements

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy work experience.
• Valid Maryland Pharmacy license or eligibility for reciprocity at time of appointment and continuously during tenure in position.
• Compliance with all related continuing education requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to work cooperatively, tactfully, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and health professionals.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency.
• Specialty Residency in Psychiatric or Pediatric Pharmacy.
