About The Position

CVS CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist for its San Diego, California location. The pharmacy specializes in chronic conditions including transplant, multiple sclerosis, HIV, oncology, hepatitis C, and autoimmune diseases. It operates in an intimate apothecary environment with the resources and security of a Fortune 10 company. The Pharmacist will support patients and providers, accurately fill prescriptions, contribute to local provider networking, oversee pharmacy technicians and interns, and work with the pharmacy manager on daily operations.

Requirements

• Current California Pharmacist License in good standing, based on applicable state licensing requirements.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Licensed Pharmacist.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Bachelor’s degree or PharmD degree in Pharmacy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with RxConnect.
• Nevada Pharmacist License.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Specialty Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill prescriptions.
• Provide exceptional care and service to patients and providers.
• Perform marketing activities with sales staff to assist with networking with local providers.
• Provide development and oversight to technicians and interns.
• Work closely with the pharmacy manager to ensure execution of daily functions.
