About The Position

The Pharmacist will review drug orders, consult with medical and nursing staff to provide high-quality pharmacy services, and oversee technical support personnel. This role is crucial for the safe and efficient functioning of the Pharmacy. Full-time pharmacists are required to provide on-call telephone coverage for after-hours consultations. The schedule involves 60 hours per pay period, including rotating evenings (3-11 pm) and every other weekend (8 am-2 pm), with dayshift opportunities available as needed and agreed upon.

Requirements

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy work experience.
• Must possess a valid Maryland Pharmacy license or be eligible for reciprocity at time of appointment and continuously during tenure in position.
• Must comply with all related continuing education requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to work cooperatively, tactfully, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and health professionals.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency preferred.
• Specialty Residency in Psychiatric or Pediatric Pharmacy an advantage.

Responsibilities
