About The Position

This is a part-time, work-from-home opportunity for a Remote Order Entry Staff Pharmacist II. The role involves completing remote order verification for healthcare facilities in the New England area, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Pharmacists will utilize their clinical skills to remotely service clients' patients and provide continuity of care, focusing on monitoring, dosing, and reviewing patient medication therapy, while the dispensing is handled by the hospital. This position offers flexible work schedules and a team environment.

Requirements

Must be licensed in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, or Ohio to apply.
Must be willing to obtain additional licenses in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont within 12 months of start date.
Bachelors degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.
Computer savvy, willing to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Excellent communication skills to enable the successful interactions with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the delivery of competent clinical care.
Ability to establish and maintain a home work space in compliance with Cardinal standards as this is a work from home position.
Reliable internet service, backup computer and equipment, as well as a dedicated home work space.

Responsibilities

Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification
Physician and nursing consultations
Clinical medication dosing services
Review and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes
Coordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
