About The Position

Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is seeking an energetic, clinically oriented pharmacist to join its remote pharmacy team. The pharmacist will use clinical skills to serve patients remotely and support continuity of care. The position is based on a 7-on/7-off schedule, Wednesday through Tuesday, with anticipated hours of 5 p.m.–9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Sundays. The pharmacist may also be cross-trained to support inpatient remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification.

Requirements

Active pharmacy license(s) in the state of residence and the state of original licensure.
Active California pharmacist license.
Must reside in California.
Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice.
Computer proficiency and ability to learn and successfully operate multiple pharmacy information systems.
Excellent communication skills to interact successfully with other healthcare professionals and facilitate competent clinical care.

Nice To Haves

2–4 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Answer video calls from patients and counsel them on new medications.
Answer clinical questions from patients.
Document patient interactions.
May be cross-trained to support inpatient remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification.
