Staff Pharmacist 7on/7off
About The Position
The Staff Pharmacist performs medication distribution, documentation, and compounding duties to meet the needs of patients and staff. The role reviews, compounds, dispenses, and monitors medication therapy for patients from infancy through geriatric age, accounting for age-related dosing variations, nutritional needs, and disease states. The pharmacist supervises pharmacy technicians, including monitoring orders filled by auxiliary personnel, and provides patient-focused clinical care throughout the hospital to support optimal medication therapy. The position requires 10-hour shifts on a Wednesday-through-Tuesday rotation, with overnight hours of either 9:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. or 10:00 p.m.–8:30 a.m.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy.
- No prior work experience is required.
- Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia upon hire.
