About The Position

Our Onco360 Pharmacy in Houston, Tx has a need for a Full Time Pharmacist Supervisor! Onco360 Pharmacy is a unique oncology pharmacy model created to serve the needs of community, oncology and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers.

Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
  • Required: Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Required: Current license in the state of practice

Nice To Haves

  • Desired: Pharm D preferred
  • Desired: One year experience in retail pharmacy
  • Desired: Ideal candidates will have multi-state licenses

Responsibilities

  • The Pharmacist Supervisor works closely with the Pharmacy Director to review staff performance metrics and conducts coaching / counseling as needed.
  • The Pharmacist Supervisor promotes dispensing accuracy and operational efficiency across the team.
  • Promotes on-site engagement, teamwork, and employee morale.
  • Conducts regular one-on-one meetings with staff to provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.
  • Manages direct reports, including payroll coordination, PTO approvals, performance management, and participation in disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
  • Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness, including drug selection, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration; provides recommendations for therapy modifications as appropriate.
  • Maintains the patient database, ensuring accurate documentation of current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications (including over the counter and home remedies).
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide clinical support as needed.
  • Documents all communications with physicians, nurses, other healthcare team members, patients/residents, and family members in the medical record.
  • Supports the implementation and adherence to policies and procedures related to the safe procurement, storage, distribution, use, and disposal of drugs and biologicals.
  • Assists in obtaining and maintaining required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Reports medication-related errors to the Pharmacy Director in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate documentation of adverse drug reactions (ADRs); ensures product complaints are properly documented and reported to pharmaceutical manufacturers as required.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy work environment in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conducts responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable policies and procedures, federal and state laws, and professional standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
