About The Position

This role serves as an expert hospital pharmacist, relying on comprehensive knowledge and experience to maintain a professionally operating pharmacy. The supervisor will primarily function as a hospital pharmacist but may be required to support other pharmacy operations. Key responsibilities include staff development and education in hospital pharmacy, participating in the formulation of pharmacy policies and procedures, and staying current with professional literature and continuing education. The supervisor will also oversee partner training, ensure adherence to annual education and certification requirements, collaborate with the manager on daily operations, assist with performance appraisals, and facilitate problem resolution. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program
Wisconsin/Illinois license
Computer experience, including internet and email.
Strong accuracy skills
Excellent interpretive/analytical skills for pharmaceutical calculations for drug dosage, IV rates, etc

Leadership/Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains a professionally operating pharmacy and conducts self as a role model.
Staffs primarily as a hospital pharmacist but may be required to work in other functions of the pharmacy operations in support of the department.
Provides staff development and education in area of hospital pharmacy.
Participates in formulating pharmacy policies and procedures in the provision of pharmaceutical care.
Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review, continuing education and self-evaluation.
Maintains oversight of partner training, adherence to annual education and certification requirements.
Collaborates with manager on oversight of daily operations.
Assists with partner performance appraisal.
Facilitates problem resolution.
Supervises Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
