About The Position

The Supervisor Pharmacist In-Charge (PIC) executes the duties designated and legally required by the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy (NJBOP). The Supervisor will ensure compliance with all NJBOP regulations along with other state and federal laws. The Supervisor will supervise operations for the assigned pharmacy and collaborate with other system pharmacy services to ensure organizational consistency of all pharmacy services. This position participates, but is not limited to, the hiring, firing, discipline, evaluations of pharmacy personnel working in the assigned pharmacy under his/her supervision. Pharmacy personnel under the Supervisor supervision consist of staff pharmacy technicians, staff pharmacists, team leaders, and to some degree, pharmacy leadership working under the PIC's assigned pharmacy license.

Requirements

  • Degree from accredited school of pharmacy required.
  • Current New Jersey State license as a Registered Pharmacist required.
  • Registration with the NJBOP as Pharmacist-In-Charge required.
  • Strong operational pharmacy background.
  • Extensive knowledge of current regulations (USP, NJ Board of Pharmacy, NJ DOH, Joint Commission, CMS, DEA), and ASHP best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Certification, Residency or Advanced Degree is preferred or as mandated by ASHP or governing agencies.
  • Management experience highly desirable.
