About The Position
The Pharmacist-in-Charge manages the pharmacy staff, appropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, and serves patients with the best possible pharmaceutical care. This is a full-time opportunity located at the Pineapple Healthcare Clinic in Kissimmee FL (1080 Kevstin Drive). The role involves managing the daily operations of the pharmacy, fostering business growth, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, dispensing and ordering drugs, collaborating with physicians, managing workflow, staying updated on pharmacy-related programs, consulting with clinic providers, maintaining patient confidentiality, and upholding professionalism. Pharmacy hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university
- Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Florida
- Excellent interpersonal, customer-service, managerial, and communication skills
- Proactive self-starter with high degree of initiative and strong follow-up skills
- Able to efficiently mentor, motivate, and manage pharmacy staff while fostering positive customer relations
- Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday, during the pharmacy hours of operation
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of full-time retail or clinic pharmacy experience preferred
- Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) experience preferred
- 340B experience preferred
- AAHIVP certification preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, always maintaining the highest quality of pharmaceutical services
- Foster business growth and control expenses for the pharmacy
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
- Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
- Direct and perform pharmacy activities and manage workflow efficiency
- Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs
- Consult with clinic providers, administrators, and other personnel as appropriate to provide quality patient care and efficient operations
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- Uphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and always project a positive attitude
- Maintain a high level of professionalism consistent with company standards, including dress, personal appearance, and grooming
- Perform other related duties as assigned
