Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Active Georgia Pharmacist license.
  • Two (2) years clinical pharmacy experience.

Nice To Haves

  • ASHP-Accredited Post Graduate Year 1 and 2 Residency or Fellowship or equivalent experience in the specialty area.
  • Relevant Pharmacy Specialty Board certification is preferred.
  • Previous management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and facilitates interdepartmental and intradepartmental cooperation and consensus building.
  • Performs the duties and responsibilities of the Staff
  • Participates in interviewing candidates for pharmacy personnel and makes recommendations.
  • Develops policies and procedures and administers Quality Improvement programs in conjunction with the Staff Development/Quality Improvement.
  • Provides and monitors training and orientation of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists and pharmacy students.
  • Assigns and monitors work of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.
  • Participates as a team member in the performance evaluation process.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Serves as a resource to assist staff in accomplishing departmental mission and goals.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury/accident to Manager.
