About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a Pharmacist for an overnight, full-time position. Initially, the role will involve a floating overnight schedule, eventually transitioning to a 7on/7off schedule. This is a remote order entry position serving acute-care hospitals, allowing pharmacists to practice outside a traditional hospital setting. Pharmacists will utilize their clinical skills for monitoring, dosing, and reviewing patient medication therapy, while dispensing is handled by the hospital. This role offers flexible work schedules and a team environment focused on patient care.

Requirements

CA pharmacist licensed is required and must reside in CA.
May be requested to obtain pharmacist licensure in other states that the CA center services.
Active pharmacy license(s) in state of residence as well as state of original licensure.
2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.
Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice.
Computer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems.
Excellent communication skills to enable the successful interactions with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the delivery of competent clinical care.
Active CA license ability to become licensed in NV and WY.
Must be able to reciprocate license

Responsibilities

Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification
Assure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses
Performs as staff pharmacist as needed
Physician and nursing consultations
Clinical medication dosing services
Review and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes
Coordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
