Pharmacist Inpatient
About The Position
The Pharmacist Inpatient oversees daily pharmacy department operations to ensure the safe and appropriate processing and delivery of medications to patients. The pharmacist reviews and verifies medication orders, performs the final check for medication dispensing, monitors patient drug therapies, provides drug information, and promotes medication safety. The pharmacist supports and supervises pharmacy technicians. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, the pharmacist may assume the manager’s essential responsibilities and duties. The role complies with state and federal drug laws and regulations administered by the state board of pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Food and Drug Administration, and other regulatory agencies. The position is in Clinical Pharmacy at Dayton Children's - Main Campus. The schedule is full time, 40 hours, with hours that will vary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree.
- Registered pharmacist licensure in Ohio through the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy (RPh Ohio).
