This position involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility. The role requires performing a full range of pharmacist procedures, including screening patient electronic health records for medication order appropriateness, verifying prescription accuracy, and counseling patients on proper medication use. The pharmacist will also be responsible for compounding medications, ensuring the accuracy of products prepared by technical staff, and supervising inventory control of all pharmaceuticals, including scheduled controlled substances, while maintaining pharmacy security and records according to regulations. The role may require rotation of on-call duties, with the possibility of returning to the pharmacy during nights, weekends, and holidays for limited services such as drug information, inpatient order processing, IV admixture preparation, and Pyxis replenishment. Services will be provided to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
