About The Position

VytlOne is currently recruiting for a Pharmacist-in-Charge for The Pharmacy at CMC in Conway, SC. The Pharmacist-in-Charge ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for The retail Pharmacy. This is a unique opportunity to practice outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the patient care transition model. Day Shift Hours! No Nights or Weekends! Great benefits!

Requirements

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) highly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy management experience.
Possession of a current unrestricted and valid pharmacist license in the state of South Carolina.
Controlled Substance license preferred.
Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and establish collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, clinical and administrative staff.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex new software.

Responsibilities

Accountable for management, oversight and operations of all aspects within the pharmacy consistent with professional, ethical, and legal standards of proper pharmacy practice.
Responsible for the supervision of pharmacy staff involved in the pharmacy workflow including hiring, training, data entry, verification and dispensing of medications.
Responsible for drug purchasing and inventory controls of the pharmacy.
Ensure that billing & remittance documents are completed in an accurate and time sensitive manner.
Meets with pharma representatives and maintains knowledge of therapeutics, pricing and patient assistance programs.
Monitor and make recommendations to fulfillment staff on inventory management.
Assist in the development of a management reporting dashboard.
Creates ad hoc reports for management.
Addresses HCP pharmaceutical issues and drug information questions.
Ensures literacy level of patient information appropriate for consumer.
Ensures annual review and update of patient education material as necessary.
Develops and implements patient and medication therapy management program.
Review, edit and approve all marketing and web-site information prior to publication.
Ensures that qualified clinicians are accountable to the organization for decisions affecting consumers.
Maintain Quality Assurance tracking program.
Ensure confidentiality of patient information and their records, and destruction of relevant documentation which contains patient information.
Perform all tasks in a safe and compliant manner that is consistent with corporate policies as well as State and Federal laws.
Work collaboratively with other pharmacies/staff and upper level management team.
Directly supervises pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
