About The Position
The Pharmacist in Charge will be responsible for preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, leading a team of pharmacy technicians, and managing the overall day-to-day pharmacy responsibilities. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, compliance with local policies, and effective team management.
Requirements
- 3 years retail pharmacy management experience.
- Must be able to utilize Patient Management System in the Pharmacy.
- Illinois Pharmacist License.
- Great leadership, communication and management skills.
Responsibilities
- Review and execute provider’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality.
- Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster.
- Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine.
- Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient.
- Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies.
- Responsible for the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.
- Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules.
