About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacist provides inpatient pharmacy support at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is an onsite position in the MHC Outpatient Infusion Pharmacy department, scheduled for 80 hours per two-week pay period with a flexible shift. The hourly pay range is $59.80–$83.72, dependent on relevant experience. The pharmacist ensures medications are prescribed, accurately dispensed, and administered according to best practices; provides medication information and counseling to patients and caregivers; stays current on formularies, therapies, protocols, and medical research; and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal care outcomes. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, multidisciplinary teamwork, wellness, and mentoring and precepting colleagues who are new to healthcare or UCHealth. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
State licensure as a Pharmacist.
Any relevant life support certification and/or relevant licensure or certification as determined at the position level.

Responsibilities

Provide pharmacy support using evidence-based protocols and best practices to promote safety at the point of care.
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to achieve care outcomes.
Ensure medications are prescribed, accurately dispensed, and administered according to best practices.
Provide patients and caregivers with drug information and counseling about medication use, dosage, potential side effects, and administration instructions.
Stay current with medication formularies, new drug therapies, treatment protocols, and emerging medical research through professional development and clinical education.
Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate collaborative care and optimal outcomes.
Precept and mentor people who are new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.
Contribute proactively to solutions that support safety and quality at the point of care.
