The Clinical Effectiveness & Outcomes Pharmacist role synthesizes pediatric evidence and performance data to inform, implement, and optimize clinical pathways, clinical protocols, and other clinical decision support (CDS) tools. It provides timely, evidence-based guidance in response to evolving factors such as drug shortages, new FDA approvals, and safety alerts, while ensuring accurate and safe medication build through collaboration with Information Systems (IS) analysts and clinical pharmacists. The position also evaluates medication use and pathway performance using reporting tools and dashboards, translating findings into CDS enhancements, pathway/protocol revisions, and provider communication. Additionally, it advances medication safety and regulatory compliance by implementing standardized practices and supporting medication oversight.
