Requirements

• Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of demonstrated experience in billing and A/R management for all payors.
• Detailed oriented; ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills; independently handle complex issues with minimal supervisor; prioritize, organize and monitor multiple tasks; communicate clearly and concisely, orally and written; exercise sound judgment with established guidelines; maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments; use Microsoft Office is performance of duties and responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• AAHAM Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring all A/R staff activities to ensure accurate, complete and timing filing and follow-up.
• Responsible for working with the payer to resolve repetitive issues regarding denials or contract compliance.
• Responsible for determining appropriate response or corrective action to denials, including assistance needed from other departments or staff; analyzing data collected and identifying opportunities to reduce denials and improve the revenue cycle.
• Responsible for reporting trends to supervisor.
• Responsible for overseeing training of all new employees in assigned area.
