About The Position

Nwestco LLC is seeking a Petroleum Construction Technician who can gather site information, work independently on small projects, and be a strong team player for larger projects. The role involves completing site walks, assisting with site preparation, operating hand tools and construction equipment, installing petroleum-related components, pouring and finishing concrete, loading/unloading materials, conducting testing and maintenance of fuel lines and tanks, performing site inspections, maintaining a safe work environment, supporting skilled tradespeople, and communicating effectively with team members.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Colorado Qualified Service Technician (QST) certification.
Previous experience in construction, petroleum systems, or mechanical/electrical services.
Strong physical stamina for tasks requiring lifting (up to 75 lbs), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
Ability to operate construction tools and machinery.
Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
Strong desire to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks.
A commitment to safety with knowledge of industry safety protocols.
Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with fuel dispensers, pumps, hydraulic equipment, or in the petroleum construction industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Complete site walks and provide insights on construction projects.
Assist with site preparation, including setting up and removing structures and tools.
Operate hand tools and construction equipment.
Work independently and/or with a team to complete installation of drop tubes, risers, fuel lines, spill buckets, and other petroleum-related components.
Pour and finish small sections of concrete, including setting rebar.
Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
Conduct testing, maintenance, and repair of petroleum fuel lines and tanks.
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment through daily site clean-up.
Support skilled tradespeople and follow safety procedures on the job site.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed.
