About The Position

At Nwestco LLC, we�re seeking passionate, career-driven individuals to join our vibrant team. We're growing and need an experienced Petroleum Construction Lead Technician to support petroleum system installations and removals across the region. If you're licensed, safety-driven, able to manage flexible scopes and want to be part of a growing team, we want to talk. Pay ranges from $36-$40 per hour based on experience and includes full benefits, PTO, 401(k) with match, plus a company truck, gas card, cell phone, and laptop.

Requirements

  • Active ICC-U1 Certification (Colorado UST Installer/Remover License a plus).
  • 2+ years petroleum or UST construction experience
  • Experience operating excavation equipment
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.

  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Install and remove underground storage tanks (USTs)
  • Perform excavation and operate heavy equipment (excavator, backhoe, compactor)
  • Install piping, sumps, spill containment, monitoring systems, and other petroleum equipment.
  • Read and follow site plans and blueprints
  • Maintain OSHA and EPA compliance on active job sites
  • Complete site walks and provide insights on construction projects.
  • Assist with site preparation, including setting up and removing structures and tools.
  • Operate hand tools and construction equipment.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment through daily site clean-up.
  • Support skilled tradespeople and follow safety procedures on the job site.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Complete required documentation using laptops and mobile devices.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication throughout the process.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Support environmental team by collecting soil samples and conduct on site sample testing
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
  • Conduct testing, maintenance, and repair of petroleum fuel lines and tanks.
