Assists in installing, testing, adjusting, and repairing petroleum equipment, regulators, and heaters on customer's establishments. This role involves documenting services and products sold, maintaining accurate safety, sales, and inventory records, and transporting tools, parts, equipment, and tanks via truck to customer locations. The technician will measure, cut, thread, and connect pipe to feeder lines and installed tanks, trench lines to proper depth where appropriate, and make necessary repairs or installations. They will test equipment to ensure performance, dismantle and replace defective pipes, thermocouples, thermostats, valves, and spindles, and ensure installations are safe, leak-free, and ready for use. The position also requires promoting safety programs, performing other petroleum-related duties, and assisting in other business areas during peak periods. Maintaining a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with applicable endorsements, a DOT physical, and commercial insurability is mandatory. The role also requires keeping valid industry endorsements in place and completing CETEP training as required by the industry and Heartland Co-op standards. Other duties may be assigned by management.
