Pet Nanny / Dog Walker - Morris Plains
About The Position
The Peaks Pet Nanny is seeking reliable, animal-loving pet nannies to provide pet sitting and dog walking in clients’ homes in Morris Plains, Randolph, and Denville. Applicants must live within or very close to the service area because the role involves frequent local travel. The work includes weekday dog walking, primarily midday, and pet-sitting visits in the morning, midday, evening, and at bedtime. Overnight care is optional, and weekend and holiday opportunities are available with additional pay. This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Compensation is $15–$22 for a 30-minute visit, $22–$27 for a 45-minute visit, $27 or more for a 60-minute visit, and $77 or more for 10–12-hour overnights. Additional pay is available for tips, weekends, holidays, and additional pets. The company has provided pet care services in Northern New Jersey since 2004 and has a team of more than 55 Pet Nannies.
Requirements
- Be at least 25 years old, as required by the company’s insurance.
- Live within or very close to Morris Plains, Randolph, or Denville.
- Have a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Have access to a smartphone, computer, and printer.
- Be physically able to walk dogs of all sizes.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
- Be dependable, trustworthy, and professional.
- Pass a background check and provide references.
- Have prior personal or professional pet-care experience.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients for complimentary meet-and-greets.
- Follow customized pet-care instructions.
- Provide visit updates with photos or videos.
- Communicate clearly with the office, clients, and fellow Pet Nannies.
- Work independently while contributing as a positive team member.
- Provide weekday dog walking and in-home pet-sitting visits; optional overnight care is available.
