2028-2029 PET/Molecular Imaging Fellow
About The Position
This appointment is for the 2028-2029 PET/Molecular Imaging Fellowship Program, providing advanced training in PET/Molecular Imaging for diagnosis and treatment monitoring. The position will often supervise and teach residents and medical students. There is a possibility that this position could be extended for one additional year. This position is full or part-time, 50%-100% Terminal, 12-month appointment. The position is for one year with the possibility of extending for an additional year. This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
Requirements
- Radiology or Nuclear Medicine residency
- MD – Physician - State Licensure
- WI Medical License by start date
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology through American Board of Radiology (ABR) and/or Nuclear Medicine through American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) by start date
- Terminal Degree MD, DO, or equivalent
- Cover letter required
- Resume required
- H-1B or E-3 eligible if immigration sponsorship is needed

Responsibilities
- Function as a trainee for advanced PET CT/PET MR.
- Participate in reading sessions in PET imaging and be involved in molecular imaging.
- Conduct research in PET and molecular imaging.
- Optionally, engage in independent clinical activity including general clinical PET examinations using routine radiopharmaceuticals, dependent upon achieving proficiency.
- Function as a trainee when developing an academic career in molecular imaging, learning about research methodology, and investigating new molecular imaging agents.
- Optionally, provide independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as necessary and as assigned by the Department Chair.
- Supervise and teach residents and medical students.
Benefits
- The starting full time salary for the position is $90,508.
