Pet Care Specialist (Dog Walker / Pet Sitter) – Weekend Shifts (Westmont Area)
About The Position
Floofins & Company is a family-owned, professional dog walking and pet-sitting company serving Westmont and surrounding communities. We are hiring a part-time Pet Care Specialist to join our weekend team. This position is ideal for anyone seeking weekend work with independent outdoor routes and meaningful supplemental income. Weekend shifts include two visit blocks with breaks between routes. Candidates who live within a comfortable commute of our central service area in Elmhurst tend to find the schedule most manageable and are best positioned to make use of break time between visit blocks. Requirements
- Consistent availability every Saturday and Sunday
- Ability to work one shift or both shifts as weekend coverage needs require
- Reliable personal transportation and a reasonable commute to the Westmont area service region
- Punctual, dependable, and comfortable working independently in all weather
- Ability to commit for 6-12 months
- Holiday availability required (pet care continues on major holidays)
- Must be willing to complete reference checks, a background check, and a drug screening
Responsibilities
- Conduct private neighborhood dog walks in Westmont and nearby areas
- Provide in-home pet sitting including feeding, fresh water, and litter care
- Perform basic home care services for vacation clients
- Administer pet medications when required
- Send real-time visit updates and photos to clients through our mobile app
- Maintain a reliable, consistent weekend route across a split shift schedule
Benefits
- $15-$17/hr base pay; average $18-$22/hr with tips
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.725/mile
