AM & PM Coventry Pet Care Professional (Pet Sitting & Dog Walking)
About The Position
Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is hiring experienced Pet Care Professionals for AM (Mornings) and PM (Evenings) pet sitting and dog walking in Coventry, RI. This is a long-term, part-time position for individuals who are reliable, passionate about exceptional pet care, and comfortable with various animals. The role involves providing services such as dog walking, exercising, feeding, administering medication, cat and small animal care, and ensuring pets receive love and attention while their families are away. Frequent travel between clients' homes is required, and detailed care instructions must be followed using a client management system. Team members are expected to leave notes for clients after each visit.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Prior professional animal care experience (professional pet sitting/dog walking, veterinary hospital/clinic, animal shelter/rescue, dog daycare/boarding, pet grooming, pet/dog training, veterinary technician/assistant, animal care technician, veterinary/animal science internship/externship, horse barns/equine facilities/farm animal care, wildlife rehabilitation/care, zoo/aquarium experience)
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
- Smartphone with reliable internet access
- Daily access to email and the internet
- Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and visit documentation
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors walking dogs year-round in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Consistent morning and evening availability Monday through Sunday (1-2 hours between 7-9 am and 6-9 pm)
- At least 10 hours per week availability

Responsibilities
- Dog walking, exercising dogs, and letting them out for bathroom breaks
- Pet sitting, feeding, and administering medications
- Cat care and small animal care
- Litter box cleaning
- Providing love and attention to pets
- Following detailed care instructions provided by the client and within the client management system
- Frequent travel between clients' homes throughout assigned service areas
- Leaving a note for clients after each visit
