Paws Around Motown is seeking several individuals to join their team as Dog Walkers/Pet Sitters. The company, founded in 2014, emphasizes a high standard of care, never rushing visits and treating every pet and home with utmost respect. This role involves a full range of services including dog walking, adventure outings, pet sitting, pet taxis, and overnights. It is an active and varied role, not suited for those who wish to only walk one dog and leave. The company fosters a supportive environment where leaders are developed from within, with Team Leaders having started in the field.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to read and understand animal behavior.
- Proactive and able to take initiative.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- Willingness to perform a full range of services.
- Comfortable with an active and varied role.
- Must be able to work between scheduled visits, including at HQ.
- Must be comfortable with clients entrusting you with their keys and pets.
Responsibilities
- Perform dog walking, adventure outings, pet sitting, pet taxis, and overnights.
- Work at the company's HQ.
- Assist in growing the company's presence in the community.
- Ensure visits are not rushed and provide high-quality care for pets and their homes.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality for all scheduled visits.
- Observe and respond to animal behavior, noticing any changes in their well-being.
- Proactively identify and address needs without direct instruction.
- Act with integrity, even when unobserved.
