About The Position

Rocket Pest Control is seeking a Pest Service Professional to inspect homes and properties, identify potential and existing pest problems, remove unwanted pests, and offer and sell services to treat infestations and develop further control strategies, including Integrated Pest Management. The role supports Rocket Pest’s mission to protect customers’ homes, families, and businesses with safe, convenient, and reliable pest control solutions.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The work week is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and stated work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The position includes a 30-day initial training period with classroom and field training, as well as ongoing training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully complete 30-day initial classroom and field training.
• Earn a minimum of two continuing education units (CEUs) annually.
• Valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds or more.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
• Ability to calculate basic math.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• Pass a seven-year criminal background check.
• Pass company drug screening and/or substance abuse testing.
• Pass a three-year motor vehicle report and meet the insurance carrier’s minimum eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service schedules for all customers on the assigned route and call customers before service.
• Inspect and troubleshoot pest infestations and use appropriate pest control strategies to maintain pest-free environments.
• Communicate with customers before, during, and after service to assess and meet their needs.
• Monitor infestation and rodent areas and pest application methods, such as baits and traps, after application; communicate progress to customers and operations managers.
• Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to improve skills.
• Complete and submit service-related paperwork in a timely and orderly manner.
• Maintain the assigned service vehicle, equipment, and tools in clean and good working condition.
• Follow driving laws and company policies when operating company vehicles.
• Maintain data integrity in PestPac and other organizational software systems.
• Assist with Sentricon termite bait station checks.
• Participate in collections efforts.
• Inspect properties, identify pest problems, remove pests, and offer and sell infestation treatment services and control strategies.
