The Pest Control Technician performs pest management services for residential customers. The role involves inspecting properties to identify pests, infestation damage, and entry points; determining suitable treatments; applying approved products such as pesticides, baits, and traps; and advising customers on preventing future infestations. Technicians build customer relationships, schedule and confirm appointments, support sales to current customers, and help introduce services to new customers. They maintain and stock equipment, comply with applicable safety and pest-control regulations, and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle. The work includes indoor and outdoor service in local weather conditions and may involve confined spaces, animals and insects, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals. The company provides training for safely handling these conditions and weather gear. Personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator, is required. A clean-shaven face is required so respirators can seal properly.
